WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT:
USE ANY MATERIALS ARTISTS K-12 WINNING DOODLE ON GOOGLE.COM This year, we’re asking kids to create a doodle that tells the world “What makes me…me.” Kids have all kinds of things that make them unique, so they can use all kinds of materials to create their doodles, from crayons, to clay, to yarn, to graphic design. Students in grades K-12 are invited to take part in the 2015 Doodle 4 Google contest. Like all Google Doodles, each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o-o-g-l-e. The winner will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship. The contest is open for submissions on October 19, 2015. For more information, go here. Through an essay of 500-800 words and 3-5 original photographs, address the problem of childhood hunger in the United States. How does childhood hunger affect the lives of teens and children either from your own life or the lives of others where you live? Your essay can be whatever you want it to be: personal, persuasive, objective, political. Use the photographs effectively to help deliver the message or tell the story you want to tell.
